On Thursday 10th November the historic Pen Museum in Birmingham officially launched its brand new exhibition space, designed by Leach Studio.
Anthony Hayes, Volunteer and Operations Manager at The Pen Museum said; “Leach’s new exhibition area is simply stunning and really brings to life the fascinating stories and facts behind one of Birmingham’s most important industries… visitors will truly experience the city’s historical pen trade on a whole new level.”
It was a privilege for the Leach Studio team to join the Pen Museum at the opening event and share in its success. There was considerable cause for celebration as the event also marked the presentation of the prestigious and well deserved Queen’s Award to the museum’s volunteers.
The ceremony, attended by the Deputy Lieutenant Stephen Goldstein CBE, Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress and the High Sheriff of Birmingham, saw an array of guests and volunteers explore the new exhibition space after the official cutting of the golden ribbon.
It has been a delight for our team to contribute to this project and we hope the re-development will continue to support the museum in playing such an important part in preserving Birmingham’s heritage.
Leach Studio would once again like to congratulate all at the museum on their award!
