Congratulations to our friends at Trinity House who have opened their new Visitor Centre and exhibition at Longstone Lighthouse to the public!
Designed by Leach Studio, the exhibtion tells the story of heroic Grace Darling, who in 1838, with her father, carried out a daring rescue of nine shipwrecked sailors from a stormy sea. A range of informative displays and interactives mean the whole family can engage with Grace's story and the history of Trinity House, the governing body for lighthouses in England and Wales.
Following the successful re-engineering of the lighthouse to provide the majority of its power from renewable sources, the Visitor Centre and exhibition has now officially opened to the public.
We wish the team at Trinity House the very best for the new exhibition over the coming months.
